The Idea Of A Devil Puts All Of Religion At Risk

Amongst monotheistic religions the struggle between good and evil is a central tenet of their existence although these concepts cannot be defined in a precise way.As a limit all of evil becomes embodied in a thing called a devil who of course is evil personified. However being evil and having the ability to shapeshift just like in a cartoon makes the existence of most religions highly suspect. No doubt the devil would lie and even pretend he is God and issue orders to people and who could tell if it was him or God talking?Certainly no person could distinguish between the two because otherwise the devil is'nt very powerful. So in order to believe in the devil we must either believe he is moral and would'nt try to fool various people or isn't very smart and could'nt succeed either of which negates his properties! So the idea of a powerful devil is it's own antithought and as soon as it comes into existence should annhilate itself and of course any ideology which depends on it.
